Bowen Health Welcomes Pediatrician Dr. Alex Tanase

Bowen Health is pleased to welcome Pediatrician Alex Tanase, MD, to its healthcare team. Dr. Tanase is now accepting patients in Allen and Wabash counties. 

At Bowen Health, he will provide comprehensive, personalized, general pediatric care, including well-child visits, sick appointments for illnesses such as colds, flu, and ear infections, immunizations, sports physicals, management of chronic conditions like asthma and eczema, and guidance on behavioral and emotional issues.

“Working with kids is very rewarding. We’re talking about our future,” said Dr. Tanase. “We advocate for the children as they become older, as they become teens, as they become adults. We are there for them. Many organizations focus on healthcare. I like Bowen Health because we’re talking about body and mind. It’s about people and treating them in a holistic manner. That’s what I’ve been doing my whole life, and so at Bowen I feel like I am home.”

With 30 years of medical experience, Dr. Tanase has specialty experience in Behavioral Health, Autism, Asthma, and Childhood Obesity. He also offers pediatric testing and specialized care, including:

  • Autism evaluation 

  • ADHD evaluation and management (starting at age 3)

  • Behavioral and temperamental evaluation and coordination of care (starting at age 3)

  • Parenting strategies

  • Allergic Rhinitis evaluation and management

  • Developmental screenings

  • Sensory screenings (e.g., vision)

  • Blood test-based screenings

  • Fluoride dental treatment
