Bowen Health officially opened the doors of its newest integrative healthcare clinic on Monday morning in Warsaw.

Located at 901 Anchorage Point Dr., the new 20,000-square-foot facility represents a $10 million investment in Kosciusko County healthcare. The clinic offers expanded primary health care, dentistry, mental health care, addiction recovery treatment, and life skills coaching services. This integrative or multidisciplinary approach to providing healthcare can make an immediate positive difference in patients’ lives.

“This building really is the next chapter in our relationship with Kosciusko County,” said Bowen Health President and CEO, Dr. Rob Ryan. “And I would argue it really is about building a place that is for us, for our community.”

The site is Bowen Health’s first clinic to offer dentistry, headed up by Dr. Colin Spencer. He said that, while everyone should have access to health care, it simply isn’t always the case.

“Sadly, access to medical care, especially dental care, is a big deal for so many people,” said Dr. Spencer.  “I'm so excited to be a part of a team where that's not going to be the case anymore. We can see patients, and we can take care of them regardless of their ability to pay.”

Kosciusko County Commissioner Cary Groninger praised Bowen Health for its continued investment in the community. He said that many veterans in the county are forced to drive more than 50 miles to receive dental services, and he’s glad that is about to change.

“I think the true measure of a community’s success is its ability to care for its residents, and I think this facility will undoubtedly contribute to that goal,” said Commissioner Groninger. Kosciusko County Commissioner Sue Ann Mitchell spoke and reflected on an address she heard Dr. Ryan give at an Indiana County Commissioners Association meeting in 2024.

“Rob stood up with great courage and said, ‘Mental health facilities should be partners with their community.’ Rob, you have certainly engaged that thought extremely well in our county. I am so proud to have been there when he explained this to many people in the audience, including many other commissioners. I hope they all get the same kind of reception and the same kind of service that we are getting here.”

Kosciusko County Sheriff Jim Smith, a member of the Bowen Health Board of Directors, shared his satisfaction in watching years of planning become a reality.

“Being on the board, I feel like I have front row seats to all the great success and the achievements that Bowen is doing for our community,” said Sheriff Smith to the assembled crowd. “It was started as a vision. It's now a reality, and you guys are all here to witness it. I think we all agree that a healthier community promotes a safer community. So very blessed to be a part of it.”

“We are not able to strive for our mission without strong community partnerships,” said Warsaw Community Schools SuperintendentDr. David Hoffert, “Bowen Health has always been one of those partners and a leader in the field of mental health. With this new facility, the desperate needs in areas such as dental care for underserved children will be provided. Your mission has now expanded with the opening of this new facility. Thank you for your investment through this new facility and expanded services. Our schools and community are a better place.”

Cindy Brady, a Bowen Health board member and Elementary Administrator for Wawasee Community Schools, was excited to see the new clinic already in action.

“I walked in this building this morning, and I saw one of my students and their parents,” Ms. Brady said. “For me, that's what it's all about, the excitement to be able to get students the care they need, families, the care they need, especially when they're young.”

“You know, at the Kosciusko Chamber, we believe that work solves a lot of problems, but you can't go to work if you're not healthy,” said Rob Parker, President & CEO, Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce. “When Bowen steps up and helps make people feel better, be better, look better. They're gonna get more jobs, which means it's a better outcome for our county and for all of our people.”

Mary Martin, representing Governor Mike Braun, shared his statement with the group.

“This expansion represents an important investment in the health and well-being of Hoosiers, and it reflects your continued dedication to serving our communities with passion and excellence. Access to quality care is vital to the strength of our families, our workforce, and our future. The opening of this facility will not only provide essential services but also create opportunities for growth and connection in the Warsaw community and beyond.”

This is Bowen Health’s third new clinic building completed along US 30, with others located and operating in Columbia City and Plymouth. Construction is underway on new clinics along US 24 in Wabash and Huntington.
