Bowen Health fills four leadership positions

Bowen Health has filled the following four management positions. 

Bernie Hunt, Practice Administrator, DeKalb County

Ms. Hunt moves into this position after leading the clinical team at the Bowen Health Recovery Center, overseeing crisis patient care, staff development, clinical standards, and the annual DMHA clinical audit. These skills and experience, in addition to her expertise in addiction and recovery services, have prepared her for this role overseeing employees and operations at the DeKalb County site. 

 

Mary Kohrman, Director of Community Engagement, Noble and DeKalb counties

Ms. Kohrman will serve as an ambassador for Bowen Health, identifying community partners and underserved populations while developing initiatives to improve access to healthcare. She brings a wealth of public health knowledge and expertise gained from serving as an Indiana county health department’s schools liaison.

 

Jesseca DownsDirector of Intensive Programs

This new role will be responsible for overseeing and planning the strategic direction of programs, including DCS Services, Civil Commitment, Gatekeeping, and other justice-involved partnerships. Ms. Downs’ experience in the legal and court service field has been instrumental in developing and growing DCS Programming within Bowen Health over the past 4 years.  

 

Channing Westerman, Associate Director of Safety

This new position will focus on strengthening a company-wide culture of safety. Previously serving as Safety Coordinator at Bowen Health Psychiatric Hospital, Mr. Westerman has completed Crisis Prevention Training and holds OSHA Healthcare Administration Safety and Hospital Safety Specialist certifications. He currently sits on the Indiana Hospital Preparedness Planning Committee for District 2.
